K-Nect is First Capital Enterprises’ community-based support program. Instead of spending the day in a facility, individuals in K-Nect are out and about—building connections, exploring interests, and experiencing all that our community and beyond has to offer.
Participants might spend the day shopping, attending local events, dining out with friends, play at an arcade or attend a concert or a sporting event. Every activity is chosen with the individual’s preferences in mind, creating opportunities for personal growth, skill development, and genuine community involvement.
Our focus is on fostering independence and confidence by supporting people as they practice everyday skills in real-world settings. K-Nect helps individuals not only discover new interests, but also build meaningful relationships and become active members of the community.
